Forever items are the ones that stay in your wardrobe for years.You may put it away for a month or a season, but you comeback to it again and again. And when you do, it always feels fresh, yet comforting and familiar.So how do you find a forever item? Well, just like with people, youdon’t always know which items you’ll cherish forever.But if you’re looking for pieces you’ll love for years here are a fewtips for what to look out for.
FITJust like you don’t have to force conversation with a good friend, you shouldn’t have to force clothing to fit your body.A forever item should fit you comfortably.If you buy an item that’s too snug or that highlights a part of your body that you’d rather not show off, you’re likely to outgrow it.Look for items that have a flattering cut, especially one that will work with your body if you put on or lose a few pounds.Often when we shop, we tend to get self critical and unforgiving of our shape.
